What incense is good? Compare the five standards yourself!

Thread incense is a kind of fragrance that has appeared as early as the Song and Ming Dynasties. Due to the long burning time, it is also known as "fairy incense" or "longevity incense".

In ancient times, incense was often used as a unit for measuring time, but now, incense is a good product for self-cultivation and happiness.

After picking up the incense, many incense lovers think that what they are waiting for is a comfortable fragrance, but in fact, what they are waiting for is a very unpleasant wooden smell.

Many people don't understand that they are all incense. Why is there such a big difference in taste? So what kind of incense is good?

Today, I will chat with you about this topic.

A good incense usually has these characteristics:

1. It smells good and does not choke the nose

A good incense, good smell and no choking is the most basic.

However, any kind of incense, when smelled closely, will give people a feeling of choking. If you want to achieve a satisfactory level without choking your nose, it will test the level of incense making.

Generally speaking, the closer you are to smell the non-choking and non-pungent incense, the better the quality.

Good incense, smell it at an interval of 5 cm, and there will be no choking feeling.

Ordinary incense, 15-20 cm away from the nose, if it doesn't choke the nose, it can basically be considered a pass.

However, in addition to the low quality of the incense, the reason why the incense is choking has something to do with the fact that the incense is not dry and the incense powder is not cleaned up.

Some incense smells better raw, but after igniting, the smell is not ideal, and the cost performance is not very high.

2. The sweetness is relatively high

What is the key factor in determining the quality of taste? Sweetness. Sweetness, like sweets, can make people feel happy.

Therefore, for incense, the amount of sweetness will directly affect the taste of incense, and sweetness is a plus for incense.

Taking agarwood as an example, Hui'an's agarwood is sweet and cool. After igniting, it can emit floral and fruity aromas, with a very rich sense of hierarchy. It is more popular with domestic consumers in the market.

3. High purity ratio of incense

The purity of the incense will directly affect the flavor emitted after ignition.

There are three factors related to purity:

One is the purity of the raw materials. If the purity of the raw materials is not very high, the purity of the incense made will naturally not be very high.

The second is whether other impurities are added to the incense. If there are impurities and too much weight, the taste of the incense will not be pure enough.

The third is the mellowing time of the raw materials. Take the old sandalwood as an example. The old sandalwood material needs to be aged for more than 20 or 30 years to make its taste mellow to the best state, and the taste will be better. If the material mellowing time is not enough, the resulting incense will not taste very good.

4. Good fragrance diffusion

The diffusion power of incense is the daily penetration power. Good incense has a strong diffusion power. After igniting indoors, the fragrance can quickly spread to all corners of the room in a short time.

The fragrance with poor diffusion power may not be good in ingredients and taste.

5. The fragrance lasts longer

This incense retention time refers to the situation in which the aroma persists in the air after the incense is burned.

In general, high-quality incense is ignited in a relatively closed room, and the smell of incense remains in the room the next day.

The longer the incense lasts, the better the quality.

Of course, this refers to a good smell, some unpleasant incense, even if the incense lasts for a long time, the quality is not necessarily good.

A high-quality incense requires the above five conditions, and none of them are indispensable.
